Birthday Shows

Our shows are great for birthdays and are structured to appeal to all ages. Guests will meet animals such as friendly bearded dragons, colorful geckos, incredible pythons, smiling frogs, amazing frilled dragons, and even hairy tarantulas! Our shows combine the unique opportunity to see exotic critters up close with education that both the kids and adults will enjoy. Shows will provide basic reptile information, cover proper care, husbandry, and conservation.

Enjoy an interactive and educational show in your home or the location of your choice. The presentations consist of us bringing out different exotic reptiles, amphibians, and insects from our collection one at a time while providing some information such as where they're from, what they eat, and other fun facts! Guests will have the opportunity to touch most and even hold some of the animals that we bring along!

With each birthday package the birthday child will assist with the presentation as well as get a special birthday gift of a printed photo of them with their favorite animal that we bring!! Click Here to see the spcial birthday pictures from past parties!

A party will feature a variety of animals from each of the following categories: Lizards, Snakes, Turtles/Tortoises, Amphibians, Arachnids/Invertebrates, Insects, and more!

Schools & Educational Shows

We have a number of options available for Daycare Centers and both Elementary and High Schools. Our shows are fun, safe, and more manageable than a trip to the zoo! Daycares and Preschools especially love the convenience of bringing live animals to visit the students on site while the students love our beautiful live animals and our fun staff. Your students will meet our amazing live animals without any bars or glass blocking their view. Our staff know how to capture the attention of your young students and entertain them while educating them as well!

Daycare & Pre-school

The educational programs that we provide for young children focus on relating the animal to the child. We give young people a look into the wonderful world of nature through the eyes of reptiles and amphibians.  Our pre-school programs focus on the diet, characteristics, and behavior of the reptiles and amphibians. Children get to touch lizards, turtles, frogs, and snakes while learning about them and the way they live. They will learn about what these animals eat, where they like to live, what they feel like to touch! Discussion is based around body shapes and structure.

Elementary & High Schools

Give your students the awesome opportunity to safely touch live reptiles during this exciting and educational hands-on animal show. Meet a variety of reptiles from all over the world and discover their secrets. Animals will include a variety of snakes, lizards, tortoises, frogs, geckos, and spiders.Your students will have the exciting opportunity to touch a live exotic critters, ask questions, and touch artifacts like spider molts, bones, shed snake skin and more!

We have three presentations that are great for elementary and high school students. We offer our presentations in two formats either the Classroom Program which is best for 20-30 students or our Assembly Program which is best for larger groups of 50-100. Deserts! - Awesome animals from awe-inspiring deserts will be showcased during this exciting program about one of world's most extreme habitats.

Assembly Program Close Encounters: Add a “meet and greet” session to your show! Your audience will have the exciting opportunity to touch a live snake, ask questions, and touch artifacts like bones, shed snake skin, and more! Close Encounters is available for groups of up to 100 and typically lasts for 15-30 minutes after the end of each show. The reason the Close Encounters isn't offered with the Classroom Programs is because the Classroom Programs are intended for smaller groups of 20-30 kids where they interact, touch, and hold the animals while we present the show. It's alot easier to do this with a smaller group. With the Assembly Program since it's intended for larger groups of 50-100 it's more difficult for everyone to interact with the animals during the show which is why we offer the Close Encounters after.

Seniors Programs

We provide a professional, interactive, interesting and entertaining demonstration show, or a static in-store display. We can tailor our shows to suit nearly any venue or corporate event you may have in mind. Whether its a grand opening, a themed in-store event, or a holiday party, we can provide a unique form of entertainment that is sure to capture the imagination and interest of any audience. Our unique collection will make your next product launch, meeting, staff party or cocktail function one to remember. Entertain special guests, international visitors and corporate VIPs with an up-close exotic reptile and insect experience.

Let us bring your next big event to life, from intimate hands-on experiences to fun stage shows, keep holiday crowds happy with child-friendly shows that feature frogs, lizards, snakes,insects, and even a tortoise! We can set up an interactive and exciting display which will hold guests' attention for hours. Our shows are fun, fascinating, and suitable for all ages. Reptiles are real crowd pleasers that fascinate people of all ages. Your audience will not only get "up close and personal" with live snakes, but also learn more about these often misunderstood creatures. With a unique blend of exotic reptiles and insects we provide an exciting show that will not only entertain, but also educate.

Display & Interactive Shows

Along with our up-close shows for small gatherings, school groups and birthday parties, we also specialise in display and interactive shows for larger groups. With a collection of thrilling animals our animal experts will reveal where they live, what they eat and much more. We can provide entertainment and excitement for shopping centres, expos and corporations providing half day, full day, and weekend events.

Our interactive shows are more than just looking at exotic animals behind glass, you will get to touch and interact with a number of different exotic reptiles, amphibians, and insects. With informational displays, taxidermy, shed skins, fossils, and more, you're guests will have a truly interactive experience!

Small Interactive Display Includes:
• 3 Display Enclosures
• 7 Species approximately 15 critters
• 3 touchable species brought out on rotation
• A variety of other cool exotic items (bones, fossils, skins, etc)
• Informational signs about the displayed animals and other items
• Hand sanitizer
• 1 of our staff to assist with the animals and answer any questions
• We charge $175 for a 1 hour display, $100 for each additional hour

Medium Interactive Display Includes:
• 6 Display Enclosures
• 12 Species approximately 30+ critters
• 5 touchable species brought out on rotation
• A variety of other cool exotic items (bones, fossils, skins, etc)
• Informational signs about the displayed animals and other items
• Hand sanitizer
• 2 of our staff to assist with the animals and answer any questions
• Guests can have their picture taken with a reptile.
• We charge $350 for a 2 hour display, $125 for each additional hour

Large Interactive Display Includes:
• 12 Display Enclosures
• 22 Species approximately 45+ critters
• 10 touchable species brought out on rotation
• A variety of other cool exotic items (bones, fossils, skins, etc)
• Informational signs about the displayed animals and other items
• Hand sanitizer
• 3 of our staff to assist with the animals and answer any questions
• Guests can have their picture taken with a reptile.
• We charge $600 for a 3 hour show, $150 for each additional hour

We also offer Interactive Shows:

• Our interactive shows are 10 - 15 minutes and go on during the display
• One of our staff will provide a quick show introducing various animals on display and talk about where they're from, their care needs, and what they eat.
• Interactive shows must be booked with a display package
• We charge $25 for a 15min show, limit of 1 show per display hour

*Discounts available on half day, full day, and weekend bookings.

Due to the nature of display shows, Prairie Exotics will choose the animals that will be brought. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to inform us however we are unable to guarantee any of your choices.

**Outdoor shows: For the health and safety of our animals, outdoor shows are weather permitting in weather between 26 and 34 degrees Celsius. (or basically when your average adult is comfortable in a T-shirt but not sweating when standing.) Please have an alternate indoor space in mind in the event of poor weather. Cover/tent must be supplied by the client. Prairie Exotics can supply the cover/tent, if required, for an additional fee.
